I’m a day late but I’m here! I just wasn’t myself last week… and before I get into anything below, I just wanted to share these videos I found on YT of my family since I mentioned my “musical background” in the video above…
So these are all my relatives, because they’re all siblings, but the woman second from the left is my grandma, Elva Polk, who passed two years before I was born, so I never had the chance to meet her… Until just now, I had only seen one old video but now there are so many! So I had to share
There aren’t as many videos of my grandpa, although his music career was much longer and more lucrative, but I’ve found one and shared it below. Also, the first woman I refer to in the video as “my grandma” (whose name is Masumi) was the woman my grandpa met whilst playing in Japan. From what I know, he brought her back to the states and married her before I was born and she’s the only “grandma” I ever knew from my dad’s side of the family (though she never wanted to be called “grandma” lol) because she was much younger than he was, lol. I think she was only a few years older than my dad, who was the eldest son.

It’s so fun to see these on YouTube. I’m so happy there is some footage from so long ago. I love that! This is all just to reference the fact that I mentioned in the video that I had a musical background 🙂
